My Favorite Beauty Products!

Dry Skin- The Silent Killer!

Hiiii guys! I apologize for the delay in connecting with you here. I didn't realize the post-holiday recovery would be as in depth as it was, goodness!

I want to share with you my current favorite beauty products. I am known for sharing wardrobe staples, and curating signature looks for clients as a fashion industry vet, but healthy hair and skin is also one of my loves. Growing up, my mom was a teacher and a Mary Kay consultant (entrepreneurship runs in my blood). She was not a huge make-up wearer, but she always promoted healthy and hydrated skin. She's also the queen of red lipstick- thank you, Mom!

I didn't get into makeup consistently until after I had Bella, but that's when I also discovered elevated beauty products to make my skin look happy. Side note, why didn't anyone tell me that although being 30 is awesome, under eye cream is a must?! If you're looking for a simple, no fuss one, my recommendation is Mario Badescu's Hyaluronic Eye Cream. It does a great job with locking moisture in where it counts.

After moving from California to Texas, then Texas to England, my face was starving from lack of humidity and moisture. The irony about being in England is that it rains consistently, but the air is dry as a bone. For the first two months, my husband was constantly thirsty, and both my daughter and my hair and skin were gasping for moisture. I was looking for products to answer our concerns and, although I tried several, NYX's Honey Dew Me Up started to rehydrate and re-illuminate my skin. I noticed that the change in climate, and overall life transition, also began throwing my hormones into emergency mode. My otherwise clear skin began breaking out and turning into acne scars. I didn't want to use any skin bleaching products, so my search didn't yield the best results until I found Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. In 3-4 days, my post-holiday acne scars began fading.

Even better, I've recently begun using the corrective serum on my surgical scars from my 2016 breast reduction surgery. Although that was the best decision I've made for my body, as it has enabled me to work out and really focus on my health without the potential torn tissue from running and between shoulder pain (AND the ability to wear a $20 bra for the first time ever), the scarring made me feel insecure. I'm already seeing my lollipop scarring lighten up. Hallelujah! Maybe my dream of wearing a plunging body suit will come true, haha!

If you're looking for a couple good products for radiating skin, try them!

Healthy skin, hair and a cute outfit will make you look good, but a heart that loves oneself and others will always shine with radiance! Be a beauty, from the inside-out!
